Type Locality and Naming

The type section is located in the Oula-Longge area of the Duoma Region, Ritu County, Tibet. It was named by Liang Dingyi in 1983.


Lithology and Thickness

Linestone and Clastics. Composed of light-grey medium- and thick-bedded massive limestone, siltstone, shale and a small amount of basalt. Thickness is over 400 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Seems to be in disconformable contact with the underlying Tunlonggongba Fm because it is lacking in fossils of the Gufengian (Kufengian) Stage.

Upper contact

Unconformable contact with the overlying Jipuria Fm

Regional extent

Distributed in the Longge, Duodong Mt. and Armengari Mt. areas of the Duoma Region, Ritu County, Tibet.

Fossils

Fusulinida belongs to the Neoschwagerina-Yabeina zone, while the Foraminifera should belong to the Shanita-Hemigordiopsis assemblage, and the corals belong to the Iranophyllum-Ipciphyllum-Tibetophyllum fauna.
